The SAT exam is for students applying to college programs in the United States or Canada. The SAT registration process is divided into four stages: creating your profile, filling out the application form, selecting and reserving an SAT exam date, and paying the fees.

Each SAT exam date has a registration deadline that is approximately 5 weeks before the exam date. Make sure you book well in advance of the deadlines.

• Before you begin registering, it's a good idea to plan ahead - and get comfortable.

• Create a free College Board account and log in. Create an account on the college board site if you don't already have one by filling out the basic information about yourself.

• Be sure to include your full legal name as well as any other identifying information. Make sure it matches the name and details on your photo ID exactly.

• Decide on a test day and location.
